The Laurentian University women's basketball team looked to bounce back after their opening game defeat at the hands of the Western Mustangs. Facing off against the Windsor Lancers, the Vee's were unable to pick up the season's first win, falling by a score of 68-47.
The opening half looked promising for LU, the back and forth action saw the team's trade the lead on several occasions. The teams were practically even in the first half, save for the Lancers picking up 12 offensive rebounds to the Voyageurs' 3.
The third quarter was ultimately what ruined the Vee's in this game. The team was outscored 24-6 in the quarter, which was their lowest scoring total and Windsor's highest. Despite their best efforts in the fourth, the lead given up in their poor third quarter was too mighty for Laurentian to overcome.
