Alain Delorme – Assistant Coach

Coach Delorme will be entering his 3rd year coaching and his 1st year with the Voyageurs. Alain spent 2 seasons as the assistant coach of the Sudbury Laurentian Swim Club (SLSC) here in Sudbury, ON. Alain has plenty of competitive swimming experience including stints with Club Natation de Boucherville (CNB), East York Swim Club (EYSC) and recently with the Voyageurs Swim Team (LU).

Alain obtained a degree in Radiation Therapy from Dawson College (Montreal) and worked in Montreal until he moved to Sudbury in 2002. He is presently in his final year of his Bachelor of Physical and Health Education degree here at Laurentian University. Alain plans to complete his Masters of Science degree here at Laurentian after his Bachelor is complete. Alain is a NCCP Level II certified coach and a member of the Canadian Swimming Coaches Association. Alain has spent the past 3 months doing a coaching internship in Brisbane, Australia working with some of the world’s best swim coaches and their athletes.

Outside the pool, Alain keeps busy with house renovations, training for triathlons, and spending time with his wife Josee Thériault here in Sudbury.
