 Women's
Cross Country Running 2003 - 2004
With Laurentian having its best recruiting year ever, the future of this
young team looks bright. Rookies include Sudbury's Leila Angrand,
Canadian Junior bronze medalist in the 3000m with a personal best of
10:17; Burlington's Mary, 4th place finisher at the Cdn Jrs in the
5000m, who has a personal best of 18:05; Sudbury's Teri Fisher, bronze
medalist at the OTFA Championships in the 3000m; and Toronto's Caitlin
Tino, a perennial Metro medalist in track and XC.
They join veteran runners, Alicia Kaye, 17th junior in the world in the
triathlon in 2002; Natalie Lefort, last year's team captain and MVP; and
a solid core of veterans, all with OUA experience under their belts.
As they enter their 4th year at the helm of the LU squad, coaches Moss,
Jermyn and Labrecque are looking to significantly improve both
individual and team performance over last year.
