Laurentian delivered one of its most complete performances of the year over the weekend, defeating the division-leading Carleton Ravens and improving to 11-10 on the season with one regular-season game remaining.

Facing a Ravens squad that entered 15-5 atop the OUA East, the Voyageurs matched intensity from the get-go. Laurentian controlled tempo early, defended with discipline, and responded to every Carleton push with timely execution on the defensive end, leading by four after the first.

Brice Fandio once again led the attack, continuing his standout season as one of the conference's premier scorers. The guard, who ranks fifth in the OUA with 19.6 points per game and third at the line, delivered in key moments.

Inside, Ismael Konate anchored the paint, battling on the glass, finishing with 11 boards, and protecting the rim against Carleton's interior attempts. Laurentian's collective defensive effort proved just as impactful, limiting second-chance opportunities and forcing contested looks during crucial stretches.

When the Ravens threatened to shift momentum, the Vees answered strongly. With one minute remaining in the final frame, Laurentian found themselves down by two points. Threatened with a possible three-game losing streak, Konate took matters into his own hands. Sinking a layup with 56 seconds remaining, Carleton was forced to take a timeout, which proved to be useful, drawing a foul to bring them to the free-throw line, but they came up blank. Holding the ball with less than 20 seconds remaining, Fandio attacked the basket, but missed his shot. Luckily, Konate was there to sink his second-chance point, with four seconds left on the clock. Carleton attempted to seize their chance with another timeout, but all roads led to defeat for the visitors, 73-71.

With the victory, Laurentian remains in the hunt for a home playoff game as they get ready to battle Ottawa tomorrow night.
