The Laurentian Voyageurs Men's hockey played the first game of a double header in Toronto against the Ryerson Rams this November 1st.
The Ryerson Rams had a fantastic record of 20-8 in the 2018-19 season but are currently 3-4 leading up to this matchup.
The Rams offensive powers would prevail over the Voyageurs defensive efforts for two periods with two goals coming in either period. The first goal was scored by Matt Mistele who is hot off a twenty goal season last year and the second would come from Holden Cook.
After two frames, Savard would have nineteen saves on twenty-one shots and Garret Forrest would stop all fourteen shots faced and protect his shutout.
Laurentian would eventually beat Forrest in the third frame as Zack Wilkie would pot his first OUA goal after getting the puck at the top of the circle and beating Forrest high glove. Deslauriers and Makary would pick up the assists.
The Vees play the Varsity Blues tomorrow November 2nd at 7 pm.
