The Voyageurs wrapped up their opening weekend with a trip to RMC to battle the Paladins. Despite the Voyageurs controlling the play for most of the game, it was the Paladins who would emerge victorious, 1-0.
The first half saw a back and forth affair, with each team trying to gain the upper hand. The Voyageurs managed a pair of shots on target but Brianna West was equal to the task. In the 38th minute it was RMC breaking through as Claire Hills gave the home side the lead, converting their only shot on target.
The second half was all Voyageurs as they ramped up the pressure, hemming the Paladins into their own half. Unfortunately, Brianna West was equal to the task, making seven saves in the half and handing the Voyageurs a 1-0 defeat.
The Voyageurs will look to bounce back next weekend when they visit Carleton and Ottawa.
