After averaging just 48 points per game last weekend, the Laurentian women's basketball team bounced back in a big way, cruising to a 78–46 win over the Laurier Golden Hawks.

Two early three-pointers from Audrey-Anne Labreche helped the Voyageurs build a quick 9–2 lead. They kept up the momentum throughout the opening frame and held a 24–11 advantage after one. The first points of the second quarter came after over two minutes had elapsed, with a three pointer from Laurier's Kayleigh Rawson. She immediately nailed another from beyond the arc, to cut the Laurentian lead back down to seven. However, Laurentian quickly regained control, outscoring the Golden Hawks 17–7 the rest of the way to take a 41–24 lead into halftime.

The Vees carried their strong play into the second half, as Cadence Pecore opened the third quarter with one of her three triples on the day to extend the lead to 20. Laurier's Keira Aikman answered with a three of her own, but the Voyageurs remained in command, outscoring Laurier 21–11 in the quarter to enter the final frame up by 27.

Laurentian kept rolling in the fourth, coasting to a stress-free 78–46 victory. The Vees forced 20 turnovers, converting them into 23 points, while holding Laurier to just six points off turnovers. Offensively, all five starters scored in double figures, led by Claudia Pellerin, who notched  her third double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds.

Laurentian will look to build on this performance when they visit Waterloo on Saturday.
