The Voyageurs headed to North Bay on Wednesday night to battle the Nipissing Lakers. After a spirited affair that saw quality chances from both sides, it was the goalies who ruled the day as the teams settled for a scoreless draw.
The first half saw the Voyageurs dictate the play, preventing the Lakers from directing a single shot towards Nate Shull. However, Dante Emmanuel was equal to the task in the Lakers net, making three save in the half.
The second half saw the Lakers up the pressure but Shull kept the door closed. Despite a flurry of chances in injury time, the game ended 0-0.
The Voyageurs will now get ready to host the TMU Bold on Saturday in their home opener.
