Looking to bounce back from a 4–0 loss to the University of Toronto, the Laurentian Voyageurs closed out their season with a much-improved performance, earning a 2–1 win over the Trent Excalibur.

Meeting for the first time this season, both sides started cautiously, opting for a conservative approach in the opening half. The game featured plenty of direct play, but both defensive lines stood firm, limiting quality chances. The first 45 minutes ended scoreless, with each team producing only a few opportunities on goal.

Early in the second half, Laurentian was awarded a penalty after a clumsy challenge in the box. Jaiden Santo stepped up looking for his fourth goal of the season, but his shot went wide of the target. Trent capitalized minutes later when Warren Chambers finished a brilliant through ball from Farhan Qureshi to open the scoring—his third goal of the campaign. Laurentian responded quickly. A sharp counterattack saw the ball fall to Sam Howard, who calmly slotted home the equalizer. Joseph Martins recorded the assist, his fourth of the season.

With the match appearing destined for a draw, Laurentian found the winner in the 89th minute. Nicolas Patenaude's pinpoint corner found Howard, whose powerful header secured both his brace and Laurentian's second win of the year. Despite a late push from the Excalibur, the Voyageurs held firm to end their season on a positive note. Trent now turns its focus to the
playoffs, while Laurentian heads into the offseason after an underwhelming season.
